Disclosure: Heather at Heather’s Hues provided these polishes at discounted cost in exchange for swatches and an honest review of her products.
You know what’s awesome about the Internet? It makes the world a little bit smaller. When I first contacted Heather about swatching some of her polishes, she played the getting-to-know-you game. As it turns out, she grew up here near Philly, just minutes from the Mister’s last apartment, and is now living not too far from my future sister-in-law in North Carolina. I’m looking forward to meeting up with her sometime when we are both in the same state!
I was also pretty excited to get my hands on some of her polishes, because they are just so stinkin’ pretty.
First Up: Beach Grass, a mint green with an emerald shimmer. I adore it. It went on so smoothly, just like butter, and is light and springy and almost made me forget this horrific winter we’ve suffered through.
I am not usually a pink polish kind of person, but Sailor’s Delight may have changed my mind. It’s a dusty rose creme with pink shimmer and gold micro glitter, and it was so, so flattering with my skin tone.
Skinnydipping is a creamy, peachy nude with a subtle violet shimmer. When my bottle arrived the formula was a wee bit thicker than I would have liked, and my fist application didn’t self-level as much as I would have liked, but it didn’t detract from the overall subtle beauty of this polish. I’ve since added a few drops of polish thinner to my bottle and it’s perfect; I used it as the base for my #RoarForAutismAwareness mani just before Easter. This would be a perfect polish to wear to an office that frowns upon fun polishes, since the shimmer isn’t as visible when you’re not in direct light.
Pier-fect Blue is a vibrant royal blue jelly polish packed with holo glitter goodness. It is so, so sparkly — and the best part is that it does. not. stain! I’ve got my pretty fingers crossed that Heather makes more polishes in this style in a wider range of colors.
Finally, Springtime Muse, all of my favorite colors in one bottle. This shimmery teal with silver holo, purple and teal glitters can be summed up in one word: easy. The polish application was easy, the glitter placement was easy (no bottle fishing!), and the cleanup was easy. And so pretty!
